My new favorite pressure sensor

I’ve discovered another Freescale pressure sensor that has a lower pressure range, making it more suitable for musical instrument applications. It’s the Freescale MPXV5004GC6U:

I got a few from DigiKey.

I find it a better sensor than the ones I’ve used in the past because it has a lower pressure range: 0 - 3.92 kPa, which is more inline with the types of pressure I can produce with my breath.

It is a bit pricey at $22 in single quantities, but I’ve integrated Into my latest wind controller, and I really like its response, especially at low pressure levels.
